Collection comprises a notebook maintained by the collective, featuring articles, newsletters, reports and other materials (mostly 1971-1977) containing medical information on and counseling resources for women's health issues. There are sections on general health, contraception, pregnancy termination, vaginal health, and hormones and other drugs. Topics addressed include the selection, performance, and safety of methods for contraception and pregnancy termination, the impact of procedures such as mammograms or hormone therapy on the future health of a woman or her offspring, and pending national legislation. Also includes several newsletters from women's health collectives and cooperatives around the United States, as well as updates from national women's health advocacy groups. The notebook was later donated to the Boston Women's Health Book Collective. The three-ring notebook that housed the material was discarded during processing. Acquired as part of the Sallie Bingham Center for Women's History and Culture.
